Operator Spotlight

EBAY MARKETPLACE:

As SVP and Chief Product Officer for eBay, Pete was tasked with rebuilding the selling and buying experiences to reflect a focus on Enthusiast Shoppers interested in depth and breadth of global inventory. By prioritizing a customer-focused planning process and transforming eBay’s product development process, the team was able to vastly improve customer satisfaction, trust and safety on the platform, and efficiently build horizontal services but compete vertically. GMV of focus categories recovered and eBay’s revenue grew substantially through creating new businesses around seller advertising and managed payments.

MICROSOFT MEDIAROOM:

As Corporate Vice President for Microsoft Mediaroom, Pete was responsible for turning around the Microsoft TV division and better support the needs of top global telecom providers that depend on Microsoft for providing their complete backend and frontend pay TV service. Top clients included AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, Bell Canada, and TELUS. Pete brought in a new leadership team to improve transparency and build trust with clients while driving a relentless focus on quality of service. The team successfully migrated the technology stack to a cloud TV service to enable clients to evolve their TV service faster with more flexibility and compete better. Pete successfully sold the TV division to Ericsson and then led an integration strategy to transform Ericsson from a project-led company to a product-led focus and culture.
